Leighton Meester admitted she used to have 'craaaazy parties' but now leads a calmer life.
Blair Waldorf she is not. Well, not exactly.
Unlike her serial-monogamist character on "Gossip Girl" (it's either Chuck, Nate or someone), Leighton Meester doesn't "see the point in dating."
"I hate it," she admitted in the January issue of Allure. "It's wonderful to be in love. And it's definitely wonderful to cuddle and have sex and get to experience life with somebody. But it's OK if you don't find him and you're 24. You can find it someday."
The cynical-yet-hopeful tone is perhaps a product of both her ill-fated relationship with co-star Sebastian Stan and the sordid romance she's depicted between Blair and Chuck on-screen.
When presented with a picture of herself kissing Stan, whom she split from earlier this year, Meester said, "I like being affectionate. Yeah. He's a great guy. (Pauses) He's a really good friend."
The actress has similar affection for the TV couple dubbed "Chair" by hardcore fans.
"I love Chuck and Blair. I can really relate to it—not necessarily because it's this dramatic, tumultuous relationship, but because the way they love each other is very real, and not for the sake of being dramatic," she explained. "It's actual love. There's nobody for each other but them."
And does Meester also "relate" to the "Gossip Girl" lifestyle? The one often filled with wild times galore, booze and drugs?
The 24-year-old revealed she used to have "craaaazy parties" at her old home in North Hollywood, some even featuring a fire twirler and an ice luge.
And New York wasn't that much different – at first.
"When I first moved to New York [for Gossip Girl], we would go out all the time," she recalled. "I've never gotten too crazy, but I definitely got to have experiences."
She continued, "Now, I don't want to do anything that's unhealthy for me. I mean, drinking is one thing—overdrinking is another. And drugs are something I don't tolerate at all."
Meester, who said she's "happier now than I've ever been," credited her longtime friends with keeping her grounded and entertained.

"They don't care who I am, where I'm from, what I do," she said.
The actress added that Selena Gomez and Katie Cassidy, her co-stars in the upcoming film "Monte Carlo," are also "really my girls."
"It was what working with young actresses should be," Meester said. "There was always support, and never anything negative."
Is that her way of saying the rumors of a feud with the other leading lady of "Gossip Girl," Blake Lively, are true?
Not exactly.
"It's unfortunate when women are pitted against each other. Like with 'Sex and the City,' people say, 'They're jealous of each other,'" Meester noted. "Come on! They're all rich, successful, great actresses."
And with her career on the rise, it's no doubt Meester is, too.
