Dallas woman shocked after airport security agents frisk her large hairstyle for bombs

Isis Brantley said she was shocked recently when a TSA agent asked to search her large hairstyle for bombs.

A Dallas beauty whose signature bouffant regularly turns heads said she got some unwanted attention recently from airport security agents who combed her coif for bombs.

Isis Brantley said she was walking through Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport headed for a Dallas-bound flight when two TSA agents ran her down and asked to check her head, Dallas' KXAS television reported.

"Some random lady came up and said, 'Did they check your hair?' and I said, 'What? No.' And then I just kept going," Brantley told the station.

The Dallas-based hairstylist said one of the agents told her she had to check her for bombs and began patting down her 'do.

"She took her hand and she started digging around in my hair several times, and I said … Please don't do this to me. This is humiliating and embarrassing,'" Brantley told KXAS.

Brantley said the TSA agents let her go after the brief search. She did not miss her flight.

The TSA told the station that Brantley left the checkpoint before her screening was over and that agents had offered her a private screening, but she refused.

Brantley said an airport manager apologized to her about the hair-raising experience.
