The woman is accused of not stealing one, but 14 live lobsters.
New Hampshire cops are hoping to trap a woman accused of shoplifting 14 live lobsters.
The crustacean-crazed crook high-tailed it out of the Market Basket grocery store in Rochester on Monday with 16 pounds of lobster, authorities told Foster's Daily Democrat.
The unidentified woman showed up about 2:30 p.m. and headed straight for the seafood area, Police Capt. Paul Callaghan said.
She asked for a selection of lobster. The clerk, unaware he was serving a lobster bandit, handed over the scrumptious creatures.
As soon as the woman got her claws on them, she took off without paying, authorities said.
She sped out of the parking lot in a blue van with a partial license plate "222."
The thief, a slim woman wearing a dark long-sleeve top and ripped jeans, was captured on a surveillance camera as she walked into the grocery store.
