A Bronx school aide was arrested Thursday for showing pornographic pictures to a 15-year-old student, officials said.
Isaac Bowens, 39, flashed the obscene images to the teenage girl inside M.S. 219 in Morrisania before he was arrested at 2:15 p.m., officials said.
A Department of Education spokeswoman said Bowens was suspended without pay after cops charged him with harassment, disseminating indecent material to a minor and endangering the welfare of a minor.
He has worked at the school for 14 years, the spokeswoman said.
Just hours earlier, a Brooklyn teacher was arrested for assaulting a 10-year-old student.
Gary Smith, 60, was collared about 10:40 a.m. for assaulting the boy inside his classroom at Adrian Hegeman Public School 92 in Prospect-Lefferts Gardens, police said. The child was taken to Downstate Medical Center with a minor neck injury.
Smith - a special education teacher for seven years - was charged with third-degree assault, harassment and endangering the welfare of a child, officials said.
Smith was disciplined in 2003 for a similar incident, the DOE spokeswoman said. He will be reassigned away from the classroom.
