Even superheroes need to check their breasts for cancer.

The African nation of Mozambique has launched a breast cancer awareness campaign that features some of the mightiest female superheroes, such as Wonder Woman, Storm, She-Hulk and Catwoman, checking their breasts for lumps.

The artist Maisa Chaves drew the women of steel from the chin to the torso, alluding to the heroines’ uniforms to reveal their identity.

"When we talk about breast cancer, there's no women or superwomen. Everybody has to do the self-examination monthly. Fight with us against the enemy and, when in doubt, talk with your doctor,” the ad copy for the Associação da Luta Contra o Cancer reads.

Mozambique isn’t afraid to shock if it means that more women make appointments with their doctors.

Previous ads made it appear as though spiders and cockroaches were living under the skin of women’s breasts.
