Rihanna had an early Christmas present for her fans - premiering the video for "You Da One" online Friday.
In the mostly black-and-white video, the 23-year-old year-old R&B star gyrates her way through the 3:28 song and manages to make bowler hats, evocative of Stanley Kubrick's "A Clockwork Orange," sexy.
At one stage, Rihanna is stripped down to a flesh-colored bodysuit and is bathed in lighting that casts leopard spots on her seemingly-naked body. Fashionista magazine pointed out similarities with a spread fashion photogrpaher Sølve Sundsbø did for an issue of Numero in 2008. Rihanna recently settled out of court with another photographer, David LaChappelle, over charges his work was "borrowed" in her "S&M" video.
Most of her fans on the Internet though, couldn't get enough of their semi-naked idol, with many begging fellow fans to re-tweet the clip to keep it at the top of Twitter's trends.
The video for "You Da One" was directed by Melina Matsoukas, who also helmed the singer's "We Found Love" and S&M videos.
The second single from "Talk That Talk," released last month, "You Da One" follows her hit "We Found Love," which has topped Billboard's Hot 100 chart for the past eight weeks. That put her ahead of reigning 2011 champ Adele, who topped the charts for seven weeks earlier in the year with "Rolling in the Deep
