Playmate Crystal Harris Tweets apology for saying ex-fiance Hugh Hefner lasts ‘two seconds’ in bed

No hard feelings! Crystal Harris tried to heal Hugh Hefner's wounded pride after making embarassing comments on Howard Stern's radio show.

Hugh Hefner's runaway bride Crystal Harris has apologized via Twitter – not for dumping him just days before their June 18 nups – but for making a jab at the playboy's sexual prowess.

"I'm sorry," she tweeted on July 28. "I was unprepared and blurted out things I shouldn’t have said."

The 25 year old playmate over-shared on a July 26 interview with Howard Stern, revealing that sex with 85-year-old her ex-fiance lasted "like two seconds."

Two days after her uncouth comments Harris acknowledged her time-keeping might have been a little off, if not a little heartless.

But the nudie-magazine mogul, who had first said Crystal was lying about their sex life, took little time to accept her apology.

"I think Crystal told Howard Stern what he wanted to hear," Hef tweeted, responding to one of his followers.

President Barack Obama takes debt battle to Twitter - Third-most followed person on the planet.

During this speech Friday, President Obama asked American to email, call, and tweet GOP Congressional leaders, and ask them to support a bipartisan debt solution.

During this speech Friday, President Obama asked American to email, call, and tweet GOP Congressional leaders, and ask them to support a bipartisan debt solution.

President Obama brought his debt battle to Twitter and he lost – more than 40,000 Twitter followers.

Obama asked Americans Friday to call, email, and tweet Congressional leaders to “keep the pressure on” lawmakers in hopes of reaching a bipartisan deal to raise the nation’s $14.3 trillion debt limit ahead of an Aug. 2 deadline.

Obama’s campaign staff used the @BarackObama Twitter account to post the Twitter handles of tweeting GOP leaders – state by state, tweet by tweet.

“Tweet at your Republican legislators and urge them to support a bipartisan compromise to the debt crisis,” Obama’s campaign staff wrote on his account before launching the day-long Twitter campaign.

The campaign appears to have served its purpose: Republican Twitter accounts were flooded with pleas for compromise.

Not everyone is a fan of the presidential spam. By Friday evening, the President had lost more than 40,000 Twitter followers - and counting.

Many members of the Twitterati took to the social media platform to voice their annoyance over the barrage of partisan tweets. A search for “@BarackObama unfollow” turned up scores of irritated posts.

“Honestly, @BarackObama, I’m going to have to unfollow you if you don’t stop filing up my Twitter inbox soon,” tweeted Bostonian @melisthreadgill, a self-described “Progressive activist”.

“Can’t believe I had to unfollow @BarackObama for spamming Twitter. Really, really strange behavior,” wrote @Arevill inConnecticut.

“I want to unfollow @BarackObama but his desperation is too entertaining,” tweeted @rdpatrick of Lavonia, Georgia.

While his follower number appears to have taken its biggest dive in recent memory, Obama’s Twitter account still had a whopping 9,362,880 followers at 7:30pm Friday night, down from 9,402,898 Friday morning - and he's still the third-most followed person on the planet.

The 'Great Recession' was worse?

Because of the economic uncertainty, businesses have been slow to hire - even though they are sitting on plenty of cash.

Because of the economic uncertainty, businesses have been slow to hire - even though they are sitting on plenty of cash.
The "Great Recession" was worse than we thought.

New figures released by the feds Friday showed the U.S. economy contracted by 5.1% after the recession began on former President Bush's watch in 2007.

That's a whole percentage point more than previously thought, the Commerce Department's Bureau of Economic Analysis reported.

"The depth of the recession is now clearly so much deeper," Nigel Gault, an economist at IHS Global Insight, told the Associated Press.

The new figures also confirmed the recovery from the recession under President Obama has been weaker and slower than economists thought - dire news that sent Stock Market prices plunging Friday.

There have been 10 recessions since World War II, each followed by a quick recovery. Not this time.

While the economy has been expanding since Obama took office and the recession ended in 2009, it stalled this year.

The economic growth rate was a woeful 0.4% from January through March and an anemic 1.3% from April through June, the feds reported Friday.

"The numbers are extremely bad," Gault said. "The momentum in the economy is clearly very weak."

Most economists believe high gas, weak consumer spending and government cutbacks are to blame for the slow growth.

Also, because of the economic uncertainty, businesses have been slow to hire - even though they are sitting on plenty of cash.

The result is an unemployment rate that's currently at 9.2% - and 14 million Americans are out of work.

Pippa Middleton - Latest craze is the 'Pippa Butt Lift'

Pippa Middleton has inspired a new plastic surgery procedure, dubbed the 'Pippa Butt Lift.'

Pippa Middleton has inspired a new plastic surgery procedure, dubbed the 'Pippa Butt Lift.'

Pippa Middleton is an inspiration to all sorts of people she's never met, just not in a way she might have expected.

While the Sarah Burton dress that Middleton wore to her sister's April 29 wedding to Prince William has been endlessly knocked off, there's another imitation that Duchess Catherine's younger sister has provoked.

"The latest craze here in the U.S. and all over the world is to get the 'Pippa Butt Lift,'" plastic surgeon Dr. Constantino Mendieta told Fox News.

"Ever since the royal wedding, Pippa Middleton has become the new queen of the booty," he continued. "She opens the doors to those who did not know you could have a small, shapely and perky backside without the large size. Patients want to be more proportionate [with] buttocks that look natural and sexy and go with the rest of their body."

While the stunning royal sister already has a TV special about her in the works -- "Crazy For Pippa," airing Aug. 9 on TLC -- the plastic surgery tributes are something different, the sort of honor previously paid to stars like Jennifer Lopez or Kim Kardashian. But no more!

"The Middleton girls are fresh and natural looking, they are the epitome of youth, and they're happy people -- everything about their physical presence is happy and natural," according to plastic surgeon Richard W. Fleming. "We should all be so lucky to have their happiness, physical features and everything that goes with it."

Times Square 'weed man' files lawsuit for his right to beg for marijuana money

Times Square's "weed man" Joshua Long, 30, filed a federal suit to protect his right to beg for money to buy marijuana Tuesday.

Times Square's "weed man" Joshua Long, 30, filed a federal suit to protect his right to beg for money to buy marijuana Tuesday.

The "Weed Man" of Times Square demands his constitutional right to beg.

Joshua Long - who carries a sign saying "Help! I need money for weed" - filed a federal suit Tuesday complaining that his First, Fourth and 14th Amendment rights have been violated by repeated arrests.

"Though the First Amendment protects Mr. Long's right to stand on the sidewalk with his sign, he has been, and continues to be, regularly and wrongfully, arrested, charged and harassed by police officers," the suit says.

"These arrests and other harassment have diminished Mr. Long's ability to lawfully beg in Times Square."

Long, 30, has been issued multiple summonses, arrested at least six times, pepper sprayed and harassed by cops, according to court papers in Manhattan Federal Court.

"He certainly has the right to stand on the sidewalk and ask for money," said Long's lawyer, Matthew Brinckerhoff. "I can only conclude that the police don't like his message."

Long is seeking a court order protecting Long's right to beg and unspecified damages and lawyer fees.

City officials declined comment pending receipt of the suit.

Kristin Cavallari poses in wedding dress just two days before fiance Jay Cutler ends engagement

Kristin Cavallari is said to be heartbroken after Jay Cutler broke off their engagement.

Kristin Cavallari is said to be heartbroken after Jay Cutler broke off their engagement.

Call it a case of bad timing!

Just two days before her engagement with Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler was called off, Kristin Cavallari was glowing with excitement as she posed in a number of wedding dresses.

Unaware of how her life would soon turn upside down, the former "Hills" star was the picture of a blushing bride in a new photo shoot for Life & Style. The 24-year-old gushed about her plans for a traditional wedding and her vision of walking down the aisle in a strapless gown.

"I want a romantic, mystical wedding, with lots of flowers," she told the magazine during the shoot at L.A.'s Mondrian Hotel on July 21.

Though her relationship seemed to be on the right track at the time, an insider close to Cavallari reveals the real problems began the next day.

When Cutler, 28, asked the blond beauty to fly back to Chicago with him the following morning, she said she wasn't able to because she had work commitments on a new TV project.

Cutler reportedly became upset and "told her that she needed to commit to him, and to move to Chicago," the insider added.

When it became clear that Cavallari had no intention of giving up her career in entertainment, Cutler broke up with her — and returned to Chicago alone on July 23.

"Kristin really loved Jay," said the source. "She is devastated."

Cavallari and Cutler, who have been together since last August, celebrated their impending nuptials with an engagement party last week. They were set to wed next spring.

Couple busted for allegedly having sex in public pool

The couple (not shown) were charged with public indecency.

This dip in the pool went a little too far.

An Indiana couple was busted on public indecency charges for a 30-minute sexual encounter in a pool packed with two dozen disgusted witness - including some kids, according to police in Connersville, Ind.

Police officer Myron Helms, 33, and Victoria Cross, 40, were charged after their erotic Sunday splashdown at the Roberts Park Family Aquatic Center, TheSmokingGun.com reported.

The pool manager called the cops about the underwater action after confirming the complaints of witnesses with her own eyes.

"[She] walked right up behind them and when she realized what they were doing she advised them to stop," said a police report.

"[She] advised that when the female moved away from the male, she could see the male's penis."

Witnesses - all "visibly disturbed by the incident" - confirmed the account when two police officers arrived at the pool, the report said.

Helms, a reserve officer with the Laurel Police Department in Franklin County, was suspended without pay pending an investigation.

Jeffery Larcade admitted to placing the camera in an office urinal, police records state.

His co-workers are going to be PO'ed.

A Louisiana man hid a camera in the men’s bathroom of his workplace to secretly photograph and videotape his colleagues using the urinal, according to an arrest affidavit posted on The Smoking Gun’s website.

Jeffery Larcade, 38, was arrested and charged with video voyeurism last Friday in Lafayette.

The accused pee-peeping-Tom used a small camera duct-taped to a urinal at his Department of Planning, Zoning and Codes job, the affidavit says.

A colleague who discovered the camera reviewed its contents with coworkers.

After discovering photos and videos of several penises, they contacted police.

Larcade fessed up to his boss, the affidavit states, and was subsequently arrested.

He later admitted to police the camera was his, according to the police report, but his plans for the footage were unclear.

Larcade was released on a $10,000 bond. He was fired from his job with the Lafayette Consolidated Government on Monday.

Savage leopard who mauled 11 people dies from knife wounds it suffered while being captured

After attacking 11 humans, the leopard was captured and stabbed to death.

This savage beast has been tamed for good.

A crazed leopard that mauled 11 people in a wicked showdown with Indian villagers has died from knife wounds it suffered while being captured.

The snarling adult, male leopard was caught in a series of stunning photographs as it leapt at locals and forestry officials trying to hit it with a tranquilizer dart.

Villagers near Siliguri had used knives, sticks and stones to beat back the wild cat and drive it back toward a wildlife sanctuary in West Bengal.

Six villagers, a policeman and four forest guards were injured in the wild encounter about 375 miles from Kolkata - the city formerly known as Calcutta.

The injured animal died hours later, and a necropsy is being conducted.

Leopards are protected in India, but encounters with the big cats have increased as the animals wander into villages in search of food.

Space shuttle Atlantis returns to Earth, marks end of NASA's 30-year program

Atlantis and its four astronauts glided through the twilight Thursday and landed in Florida shortly before sunrise.

Atlantis and its four astronauts glided through the twilight Thursday and landed in Florida shortly before sunrise.

The Space Shuttle Atlantis touched down for the last time Thursday, marking the end of the storied shuttle program and closing the book on an era of space travel.

The landing at Cape Canaveral in Florida leaves a question mark over the future of NASA, as the U.S. government looks to private companies to take command of future missions.

"After serving the world for over 30 years, the space shuttle's earned its place in history. And it's come to a final stop," said commander Christopher Ferguson as he piloted the Atlantis onto the tarmac at dawn.

"Job well done America," replied Mission Control.

It will take three  to five more years before the U.S. launches the next generation of manned space rockets.

Asteroids and Mars are the destinations of choice.

"America's not going to stop exploring,"Ferguson vowed.

A record crowd of 2,000 people gathered to watch the shuttle's final mission come to a close, joining hundreds of NASA workers in a moving farewell.

"I haven't cried yet, but it is extremely emotional," said Karl Ronstrom, a photographer who witnessed the first shuttle launch as a teenager in 1981.

Since then, NASA's five shuttles completed 135 missions, ferrying 355 people from 16 countries and spent nearly four years in space.

Two orbiters - the Challenger and Columbia - were destroyed in tragic accidents, killing 14.

The program was finally shelved as NASA's focus turns from low-Earth orbit to more distant goals.

"Children who dream of being astronauts today may not fly on the space shuttle ... but one day, they may walk on Mars," said NASA administrator Charles Bolden Jr. "I'm ready to get on with the next big challenge."

Privates companies have already been tapped to take over cargo flights and astronaut rides to the International Space Station, and Russia's space program will remain in operation.

Superman loses out to Jonathan Carroll in 'Superman #1' comic

Lois Lane's new boyfriend, Jonathan Carroll, is revealed in the upcoming 'Superman #1' comic.

Lois Lane's new boyfriend, Jonathan Carroll, is revealed in the upcoming 'Superman #1' comic.
Superman lost out on Lois Lane to this guy?

The Man of Steel has been pining for the intrepid reporter for the Daily Planet since he first leaped into American pop culture in a single bound in his 1939 comic debut. When the pair finally tied the knot in the 1990s, they became comic books’ equivalent of Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor – or at least Popeye and Olive Oil.

That all changes in Superman #1, hitting stores in late September, part of DC Comics rebooting of its entire stable of comic books. Lane's new paramour, a Lothario who can't seem to keep his shirt on, is a never-seen-before co-worker at the Daily Planet, Jonathan Carroll, the Daily News has learned.

Superman is of the World's Greatest Super Heroes, but he can't have it all.

Many of us know what it's like to be the odd man out and we think readers will have a soft spot for Clark when they see his reaction to Lois' new boyfriend.

The company has created a stir in the industry with its decision to rejuvenate all of its characters in the aftermath of a storyline where The Flash's nemesis wreaked havoc with time and created a whole alternate reality for DC's heroes.

The move is meant to make it easier for new readers to jump aboard without being scared off by decades of back-stories, but some changes -- like Clark Kent's sudden bachelorhood -- have been hard for longtime fans to accept.

"It seems very strange that you would get rid of them being married, since it's been an established fact in the comics for 20 years," says Ron Hill, manager at Jim Hanley's Universe, a comic book store in midtown Manhattan.

"I feel bad for the new boyfriend, though. At the end of the day Lois and Superman are supposed to be together."

Is Starting a Business Smart or Bad ?

Getting advice about whether to start a particular business is tricky. Whom do you ask? Your lawyer will see everything through the lens of lawsuits and problems. That is what lawyers see every day. Your banker will see things through the lens of risk and loss; that’s what bankers see every day. Your accountant will see things through the lens of overhead and missed projections. If you ask your nonbusiness-owning friends and relatives, you’ll get opinions from people who have no lens. And no experience or understanding.

I would ask business owners or business consultants. They understand the risks, the opportunities, the potential problems and the things you need to watch out for. Perhaps you can learn from their mistakes . As far as their ability to predict success or failure, they will do better than a civilian but they are not clairvoyant.

To my knowledge Mr.Tony Robbins and Chet Holmes  of Business breakthrough Internationals ,have taught thousands of business owners to start new business and double their sales. They are committed to teaching business owners how their businesses can thrive - even in uncertain times. Call them at 888 898 8380 / 877 339 0439  to receive a Free audio training program from two highly recognizable names in business.

Want Healthy Lungs? Take Care of Your Teeth and Gums

The benefits of having great dental hygiene go beyond your teeth and gums. Researchers now believe your oral health can have an effect on how well your lungs will function.

The Connection Between Oral and Respiratory Health

You might not associate the health of your teeth with the strength of your lungs, but this correlation has been confirmed by a study included in the Journal of Periodontology in January 2011. It revealed that people with periodontal disease are more vulnerable to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pneumonia, and a host of other respiratory ailments and infections than those who have healthy gums and teeth.

The researchers believe that this connection can be traced to the bacterium that builds up in the mouth and throat area when the teeth and gums aren't well maintained. If the bacterium is inhaled into the lower respiratory tract, it can lead to respiratory conditions and complications, and can even cause death in the most severe cases.

To come to these conclusions, scientists looked at 200 people. Half of these participants suffered from severe respiratory ailments and had poorer periodontal status than their counterparts.

What This Means for You

While anyone with poor oral health may be at risk for experiencing related respiratory problems, if you've been diagnosed with asthma, your sensitive airways could make you even more vulnerable to having complications. That's why the best way to protect yourself is to take the following steps to ensure good dental health:

  • Make a commitment to get regular dental exams twice a year (or even more often in some cases). This is an important preventative step to keep your periodontal health at its best.
  • Bring your inhaler and other asthma medications with you to the dentist so she'll know what you're using and how they might affect your oral health. For instance, some medicines cause dry mouth and increase your risk of oral infections, or can interfere with certain dental prescriptions.
  • Brush and floss your teeth regularly to keep your teeth, gums, and mouth healthy.
  • Talk to your dentist about anything else you can do to optimize your oral health.

A Florida woman has a message for her bank: I'm not dead.

A woman is suing Chase bank, claiming that her credit was ruined after the bank mistakenly declared her dead.

A woman is suing Chase bank, claiming that her credit was ruined after the bank mistakenly declared her dead.

Wrenella Pierre, of Oviedo, Fla., is suing Chase Bank, claiming that her credit was ruined after the bank declared her deceased.

Pierre says the bank notified credit agencies last year that she had died and even sent her family a condolence letter saying, "We are sorry to hear about your loss."

"I don't know why the bank made this type of disastrous mistake," her attorney, William Peerce Howard, told the Orlando Sentinel. "There is no possible way to have credit extended when you're deceased."

Pierre and her husband, Curtis, had repeatedly tried to get their mortgage modified when they discovered Chase's grave mistake.

In November, after shocked family members received the condolence letter, Pierre contacted the bank to tell them that she was alive and well.

But a month later, credit-reporting agencies were still reporting she was dead, the suit said.

Nancy Norris, a spokeswoman for JPMorgan Chase, told the Sentinel that the bank would not discuss the case.

"We're investigating how it happened," she said.

Soundgarden rock Newark's Prudential Center

Soundgarden made a triumphant return to the New York area, with shows in Newark and at Jones Beach on Friday and Saturday.

Soundgarden made a triumphant return to the New York area, with shows in Newark and at Jones Beach on Friday and Saturday.
It took a full 75 minutes for the moshing to begin. And even then, it only lasted for two numbers and just a handful of fans took part.

That should come as no surprise. The participants in this ancient ritual, practiced Friday night, all fell between their mid 30s and late 40s, as did just about everyone else in Newark's Prudential Center Arena that evening. So did the group they'd come to see - Soundgarden, the most fiercely metallic of the grunge-era pioneers, a band that hadn't played the New York area in a shocking 14 years. (They also headlined Jones Beach Theater Saturday night).

So how did a group of such age and wear end up sounding so muscular and spry?

Credit both their enduring talents and the flattering contrast to today's rock mainstream. It's been so long since any band attacked the charts with a sound this bold, anyone who can carries the same power as the whole Seattle wave that first drove Soundgarden to fame two long decades ago. (This Fall will mark the 20th anniversary of the key work that led that charge:Nirvana's "Nevermind.")

Since Soundgarden's collapse in 1997, lead yowler, and quintessential sex symbol, Chris Cornell has fronted a host of projects, including the lesser, hard-charging band Audioslave and a rash of solo projects. The latter ranged from the sublime (a one man acoustic tour that entranced Town Hall two months ago) to the unfortunate (an electronically-minded bomb withTimbaland).

Even Cornell's brightest spots haven't given him as consistently exhilarating a platform as Soundgarden does. Thankfully, the key foursome finally reunited last year for a few live dates, their first since the '97. That led to the current tour, which precedes what, they promise, will be their first studio album since ‘96's "Down On The Upside," to be released in the Spring.

Small wonder their current set overwhelmingly culled their greatest hits and finest original album tracks.  After apologizing to fans "for the long wait," to see them again, Cornell announced "these are old songs...at least if you go by the calendar."

In fact, they seemed anything but wizened. The concussive guitar lines in "Spoonman" have no less punch today. The fiercely circular riffs in "Rusty Cage" retain just as strong an undertow.

The group performed these songs with the panache of their prime. The way bassist Ben Shepard hammered his instrument with his massive fingers gave the songs nearly as much musicality and spine as Kim Thayil's guitar. Matt Cameron, always one of rock's most voracious drummers, added enough rhythm fills to keep these lean songs full. And, with almost alarming consistency, Cornell unleashed his highest wails.

The band's songs find an ideal rockers' balance of melodic distinction and metal thunder. "Superunknown" has a tune equal in appeal to its brisk beat. "My Wave" draws on new wave pop without selling out its rock edge, while "Jesus Christ Pose" had such impact through sheer velocity and density, it didn't need anything like a melody to hook us.

"Outshined" (the song that inspired that flash of moshing) exuded just the macho strut the rock world has been thirsting for. It's impossible to know if the band's upcoming album will live up to that daunting record. But even if it doesn't, the legacy Soundgarden pounded out here will do rock history proud.

Warning signs of e-infidelity

The Internet is a powerful tool in today's society, and many people log onto the World Wide Web on a daily basis for a number of reasons. Online activity can allow you to keep in touch with your family, stay in contact with friends, and locate people from your past. Regardless of how innocent your online activity may be, it can also lead to inappropriate behavior, and cause serious harm to your relationship. There is e-mail, instant messaging, MySpace, and Facebook, which are also available on your cellular phone. Here are some tips to help you figure out if E-Infidelity is present in your current relationship and healthy ways to approach your partner in order to help rebuild your trust.

Your Partner's Computer – As the old saying goes, people who have nothing to hide, hide nothing. If your sweetheart is anxious or secretive about their online activity then consider this a major red flag. When someone in a committed relationship is unhappy, the computer can offer instant access to new and exciting people looking to form an emotional or physical connection.

Warning Signs:

* Does your partner choose to log online late at night instead of going to bed with you? Is their internet search history erased the next morning?
* Your partner is instantly defensive if you ask to use their computer.
* Does your partner check their e-mail multiple times a day?
* Is your sweetie quick to minimize their computer screen when you walk into the room?
* Did they recently install a password on the computer?
* Have you come across a separate e-mail account that you never knew existed?
* Have you found an improper photograph or chat dialogue?

It is possible for your partner to display some of the warning signs and not be guilty of E-Infidelity. Trust your intuition, and have a solid form of evidence before you accuse them of any wrong doing. If someone is capable of an affair they are probably ready to lie to you in order to cover up their deceit. Above all, remain true to yourself. Be honest with your own thoughts and feelings so you are prepared for whatever the outcome may be. Ask yourself the following:

* Are you ready to know the truth if your suspicions prove to be correct?
*  Are you ready to kick your partner to the curb if they come clean?
* Are you strong enough to leave the relationship if you can't work it out?

You want to be heard when you express your concerns so it is important to remain calm in order to maintain a peaceful environment. Regardless of the heartache, anger or confusion you may experience during the conversation, you should strive to remain in control. Role-play with a friend or family member until you become comfortable with your approach. As you explain why you feel a certain way, look them in the eye, and share the proof with your partner. Ask one question at a time then stop to listen. Offer an open-ended question, for example:

* Why is this chat history on your computer?
* Please tell me who sent you these emails and what your relationship with them is.
* Why did you make an online dating profile?

Help Yourself to Stop E-Infidelity – Do you feel tempted to chat with someone online other than your partner? If you are serious about your relationship, then take action in order to stop yourself from cheating on your honey via the World Wide Web. Every couple has their own set of individual needs, and the relationship will suffer if you allow those needs to be met by someone else.

Help control the urge by doing the following:

* Cancel any online memberships that can lead you to stray.
* Avoid instant messaging, text messaging and e-mail contact with your ‘cyber' friend.
* Spend time with your partner. Surprise them with a home-cooked meal or a special night out.
* Recognize you have someone who loves you. If you give your honey the attention you used to give your online friend, it can make a huge difference.
* Change your e-mail address.
* Share the truth with your partner, and ask for help if you begin to feel weak.
* Keep a journal and record your thoughts. Ask yourself the following: How did I get involved in this online fantasy? What needs did I fulfill through my Internet courtship? What can I do to correct my behavior?

No matter who you are in a relationship with, it is important to remember that no one is perfect. The secret to a happy and healthy relationship is trust, respect, and loyalty to look after one another, no matter where life takes you. A partner who discovers a form of E-Infidelity will experience the same emotion; shock, anger, and confusion, as if they caught their partner in a physical situation. An online relationship can add some mystery, and excitement to a person's life, but make no mistake, it is still cheating. Whether you struggle to understand your partner's E-Infidelity or suffer from an online addiction yourself, the downward spiral an internet affair can bring is never worth it the heartache it causes. Take charge of your life and continue to seek the happiness you both deserve.

Super 8 motel clerk(Brave women) talks down naked woman armed with gun and high on marijuana and ecstasy.

A motel clerk had a frightening face-off with an armed intruder early Sunday - a naked woman high on marijuana and ecstasy, northern California cops said.

Police credited the clerk, a woman whose name was not released, for keeping calm and convincing the gun toting moll to give up her gun.

"The clerk did a tremendous job of remaining calm and being able to keep the suspect calm," Sgt. Mark Donaldson of the Vacaville Police Department told reporters. "She was a very brave woman."

The incident began around 2:40 a.m. Sunday when Patricia Wright entered the lobby of a Super 8 in Vacaville, about 35 miles west of Sacramento.

Authorities said the 32-year-old was waving around a loaded .38-caliber semiautomatic. The clerk quickly called 911, then tried to ease the woman's nerves.

Police surrounded the motel, then talked with both the clerk and Wright via telephone. At that point Wright admitted taking both marijuana and ecstasy, Donaldson said.

After nearly 20 minutes the clerk convinced the woman to put her gun down. She surrendered to officers outside.

Wright, who was a guest at the motel, was charged with multiple counts, including possession of a loaded firearm in a public place. Her boyfriend, also at the motel, was questioned by police but not charged.

Motel guests were largely unaware of the incident, which was limited to the lobby, police said.

Gwyneth Paltrow is getting it all off her chest.

The Academy Award-winning actress leaves little to the imagination as she poses topless for Vanity Fair.

Confirming to the world that she still looks great at 38, Paltrow wears nothing but fishnet stockings and an array of Louis Vuitton baubles for the mag's U.K. jewelry feature.

Though this is a side not many get to see of Paltrow, the actress preserves her modesty by posing with her arms strategically placed over her exposed breasts.

Paltrow recently bared her bikini body for the cover of Self, in which she revealed that she maintains her fit physique by living a healthy lifestyle comprised of yoga and "clean food."

"I never thought that I'd be considered to have a good body," she said. "I was bony up top and kind of dumpy on the bottom. But my trainer, Tracy Anderson, completely changed my legs, butt, arms and stomach. I feel better than ever, too."

Jim Henson's influential Muppets get recognition at Museum

Jim Henson, who created the iconic series 'The Muppets,' is pictured here with Kermit the Frog.

Jim Henson, who created the iconic series 'The Muppets,' is pictured here with Kermit the Frog.

Fans of Jim Henson may already know that the first Kermit the Frog was made from his mom's old coat and a Ping-Pong ball.

But who knew that his kids kept the original Chicken Liver in their toy box? Or that the prototype for Rowlf peddled dog food on TV?

A new exhibit at the Museum of the Moving Image in Astoria reveals interesting facts about the late puppeteer, animator and director, universally regarded as a creative genius.

The Daily News got an exclusive preview of "Jim Henson's Fantastic World," a collaboration of the Smithsonian Institution, the Henson family, the Muppets Studio and others.

Screenings of Henson's films, guest appearances and workshops will complement the exhibition during its six-month run.

The display is particularly timely because the $50 million all-star movie "The Muppets" will be released this fall.

It's also a homecoming because Henson based his corporate and production facilities in New York and "Sesame Street" is filmed at Kaufman Astoria Studios in Queens. Meanwhile, his widow Jane and daughter Cheryl continue to live in the city.

"It's rare to present an exhibition devoted to a single individual," says the museum's executive director, Carl Goodman. "But we are zooming in on one of the industry's most important creators. He revolutionized the field.

"It's a serious exhibition — not a playground — but the content is so delightful that people will have a great time.

"People will come to see the models of Bert, Ernie and Kermit, but they'll be fascinated to learn about the powerful creative force behind them."

The curator, Karen Falk, archivist at the Long Island City-based Jim Henson Company, has supervised the display.

"It's designed to give people a look inside Jim's creative thinking and to get to know how he expressed himself," she says. "We really try to focus on the man."

It begins with a welcoming wave from Kermit and ends with one of Henson's later projects, the TV series "Fraggle Rock."

The show became a global hit in the years before his death in 1990, suddenly of pneumonia, at the age of 53.

Rather than linger on the tragedy, the exhibit celebrates Henson's extraordinary life and anarchic humor.

There are more than 120 artifacts, including doodles and sketches from Henson's 1950s college days and clips from his early TV commercials and appearances on "The Ed Sullivan Show."

One section is devoted to the little-known live-action short film "Time Piece," which was nominated for an Oscar in 1965.

"Gossip Girl" actress Taylor Momsen has gone from "XOXO" to XXX.

The 17-year-old put on a raunchy show in Barcelona on Wednesday night during a concert by her rock band, The Pretty Reckless.

As half-dressed girls danced around her onstage, Momsen was grinding in the lap of a young female fan.

Later when she stood up to sing, another girl groped her breasts -- but Momsen didn't seem to mind one bit.

This eye-popping stunt is just the latest from the controversial singer, who has been canned from the CW drama.

Last month, she hit the U.K.'s Download festival in a cut-up T-shirt that exposed her breasts – and the electrical tape she had put over her nipples.

And it's not just her appearance. Momsen's mouth has also proved shocking.

In an interview last year with Revolver magazine, the teen talked frankly about sex.

"If it's a good sex tape, I'll watch it," she said. "I like some adult stars. I have a couple favorites. But I will say this: That Tommy Lee/Pamela Anderson video wasn't very good. I wouldn't f*** Tommy Lee."

HPV, the most common STD, can cause cancer

The specialist: Dr. Michael Gaisa on HPV

The specialist: Dr. Michael Gaisa on HPV

An internist and infectious disease specialist at Mount Sinai HospitalDr. Michael Gaisa works with about 350 patients a year to help prevent HPV-related precancerous conditions from progressing to malignant, invasive cancer.

Who's at risk

HPV, the human papillomavirus, is the most common sexually transmitted disease in the U.S.

"HPV is a virus that is spread very easily," says Gaisa. "It's almost inevitable that people are going to be exposed, unless they're sexually celibate."

About 20 million Americans are infected with HPV, and another 6 million are infected each year.

At the current rates of infection, an estimated 50% to 90% of sexually active patients will acquire HPV at some point in their lifetime. "Anyone who is sexually active is at risk of acquiring HPV," says Gaisa. "The more you change sexual partners, the higher your risk."

HPV is much more common than it's perceived to be, partly because so many patients don't have symptoms. One problem is that the virus is still transmissible although it may give no symptoms.

While healthy individuals can usually clear the virus within one to two years, there are certain high-risk subtypes of HPV that under certain conditions can establish chronic, latent infection and
ultimately lead to cancer.

"Cancer is the worst-case scenario of HPV infection," says Gaisa. "Cervical cancer is the most common HPV-related cancer, but we're also seeing increasing rates of anal cancer and others."
People whose immune system is compromised, including HIV patients and organ-transplant recipients, are at an especially high risk of developing cancer as the result of HPV.

"The Department of Health in New York was the first government body to recommend regular screening for HPV in HIV-positive patients," says Gaisa.

HPV-related cancers progress according to a slow sequence from subtle precancerous lesions, called dysplasia, to invasive cancer, a process that usually takes many years.

"What this means is that by screening for precancerous cells, we have a chance to treat the region and prevent invasive cancer from developing," says Gaisa. "While low-grade dysplasia may not progress to cancer, we can identify high-grade changes that put patients at high risk of cancer."

Signs and symptoms

Most people carrying the HPV virus do not have symptoms.

"The lack of symptoms is part of the problem in preventing the spread of HPV," says Gaisa. "The one common symptom patients notice is genital warts."

While the warts are unsightly, they aren't themselves dangerous and are usually caused by low-risk HPV types. They should nevertheless be evaluated in case they are a sign of simultaneous infection with a high-risk HPV type.

For the general population, there is no recommended HPV screening other than regular cervical PAP smears for women.

"The more vulnerable population of HIV-infected patients should be screened annually with both cervical and anal PAP smears," says Gaisa. "Not all HIV care providers are doing this yet, so be proactive about asking your doctor if you should get tested."

While organ-transplant recipients are also likely to have increased risk, there are no official screening recommendations in place for that patient population.

Traditional treatment

When anal pap smear results come back positive, the next step is for the doctor to examine the affected area using a microscope, a procedure called high-resolution anoscopy.

"Using a scope, we can evaluate the external surface of the skin around the anus and the mucous membranes within the anal canal where HPV causes potential problems," says Gaisa. "In the process, we often find abnormal areas and biopsy them."

The procedure takes about 10-15 minutes, and most patients can go to work straight from the doctor's office. "It's a little uncomfortable, but patients usually say, ‘It's not as bad as I thought,' " says Gaisa.

If the doctor finds anything pre-cancerous, the next step is treating the area by using an infrared laser to burn off the superficial cell layers carrying the disease.

"The laser procedure is done using the same local anesthesia a dentist would use in the mouth," says Gaisa. "It also lasts about 10-15 minutes, and patients usually go back to work the same day.

However, it's not necessarily a permanent fix.

"There's still a chance of recurrence of both warts and precancerous lesions, because surrounding areas can harbor the virus without being exhibiting visible changes," says Gaisa. "It's like a visit to the dentist; after we pull the rotten tooth, you still have to come back for checkups."

If patients persevere with thorough surveillance and regular anoscopies, doctors consider HPV-related cancers like anal cancer totally preventable.

Research breakthroughs

The biggest breakthrough in preventing HPV is the development of a specific vaccine.

"The vaccine has been out now for a few years. It protects against the two most common cancer-causing and the two most common genital-wart-causing HPV subtypes," says Gaisa. "We're
predicting that rates of HPV infection and HPV-related cancers will go down dramatically in the coming decades as more young adults are vaccinated before they become sexually active."

Questions for your doctor

If you're immune-compromised, ask: "Should I be screened for HPV?"
If you're 26 or younger, or have  recurrent genital warts or precancerous changes, then ask, "Am I candidate for HPV vaccination?"

Home Burglary Prevention - The Basics For Free

It is just a fact that one out of every six homes will be burglarized on average every year. There is some anecdotal evidence that with the deteriorating economy home burglars are busier than ever. It is one crime that seems to be rising when so many other areas of crime are on the decline.

There are a couple of reasons for that. Homeowners make it very easy to get into their home. Police tell us that 90% of all home burglaries can be prevented and that over 70% of home burglars enter through an unlocked door or window. The other factors are that penalties for home burglary are laughable. And that is assuming do you get caught, which is highly unlikely.

So for people who are in the home burglary business, a.k.a. "petty thieves" it is a low risk crime with a high payoff. The average value of goods taken from a home a few years ago was $1800. The average damage done to the home by a burglar is slightly north of that at $1900.

A testament to how big the home security industry has become is it is a $60 billion a year business for home security. Monitored alarm systems, video cameras, electrified fences and other preventive ideas all work but they all cost a lot of money.

Here are some things you can do that are free or at very low-cost.

1. Start by keeping your windows and doors locked even when you're at home.

2. Remove excess shrubs that may provide hiding spaces along lower level windows and doors.

3. Start or join a neighborhood watch program. It has been proven to be extremely effective. The idea is your neighbors watch out for you and you watch out for your neighbors. You can get one going by talking to your local sheriff's Department.

And if you think burglars just pick a house at random think again. Start with the premise that they don't want to get caught. So they do what they call 'casing a neighborhood.' That involves simple observations by the bad guys. If you follow the three tips above you will more than likely stay off their hit list.

1. If you happen to go on vacation do the obvious things.

2. Stop delivery of your newspaper so they don't accumulate on your front yard

3. Stop delivery of your mail so it doesn't accumulate in your mailbox.

4. Have someone mow your lawn.

5. And don't telegraph your absence by social media. Crooks may not be the sharpest knives in the drawer but they know how to read.

6. And if you're gone, consider leaving the radio on or better yet a TV that will cast shadows at night.

Burglars do not like noise or light. So, consider installing some very loud Home Security Devices. You can get several of them in the $10-$15.00 range.ADT offers 24-hour monitoring by trained professionals and easy-to-use security systems.Fast alarm response is provided by ADT as well as great local service.Low monthly monitoring fees will give you the peace and comfort that you deserve.

Do the free things first then get some low cost door and window alarms to improve your home security.

The Best Treatments For Tinnitus - A Review

Searching for the best treatments for tinnitus is not easy. There is so much hype, misinformation and lies out there as to which product is best. This review will help to break down the main contenders so that you can make an informed choice.

Before we start I will let you know that I do recommend one above the others. The reason is I have tested many treatments for tinnitus and only found one that is reliable and works well. I have suggested Tinnitus Miracle to numerous clients in my practice and only found good results.

But not everyone will respond the same, which is why it is good to break down the treatments for tinnitus so you can decide which is best for you.

Products Offering Treatments For Tinnitus

You can put all the treatments for tinnitus into three categories. Those that mask the sound, those that teach you to life with the noise and offer a few lifestyle changes to cope, and those that offer a cure.

Before you jump into the "I just want a cure" group, please remember that not all cures work. Masking the sounds will help to reduce the effect of tinnitus and lifestyle changes may help. But if I'm honest with you, I too would head for the cures first. Then if they don't work use those that mask the sound to at least get some respite from the noise.

So to start with the treatments for tinnitus that mask the noise, there is only one real contender.

Tinnitus Masker is the internets most popular source for masking sounds. You listen to the variety of CD's to help you sleep without the noise and you can even play these on a CD player in your home to help also ease the noise during the day.

I don't know Chris Dawkins personally, but what he says and his background will make this a successful tool to help lessen the noise.

Paul Tobey offers something a little different with Tinnitus Free Living Program, he writes for the Tinnitus Association of America. Paul's program is quite involved and asks you to look at your lifestyle and make changes. It is based on the concept of reducing stress and anxiety in your life, which is a common cause of tinnitus.

For some wanting a more simple approach, Paul's program may be a bit to much. It still works and is well presented, but is still based on changing your life entirely which will help to lessen the noise.

Those treatments for tinnitus that suggest a cure are still my preferred choice. I still believe you can cure tinnitus and that if you remove all the causes the ear ringing will subside.

So to finish with...

The Best Treatments For Tinnitus

The two products that are the most used and most successful on the web are Tinnitus Miracle and Banish Tinnitus.

Banish Tinnitus aims to remove sinus irritation and stress, before you attempt to change the neural signals from the ear. He teaches a 3 step program to address the three causes of tinnitus as suggested by numerous scientific studies.

Paul Carrington's product is good, it also offers information of various "super foods" that will help with the noise and tips to help you succeed.

I still however recommend Tinnitus Miracle over the other products for one very good reason. I know it works. It too teaches you how to remove your sinus irritation, stress and anxiety and follows a simple 3 step plan.

However it is comprehensive, has excellent support behind the product and the after service support is perfect. But as I said, not everyone will succeed.

I still believe there is a cure and that you should look to get one.My recommendation is to start with Tinnitus Miracle, if you then find you don't succeed, take them up on their offer of a refund. This is what refunds are for.

If you don't get relief, they honor their refund policy, and then try the next technique and so on.

What works for you won't necessarily work for someone else. The best treatments for tinnitus are those that work, Tinnitus Miracle still remains the webs most used product for one reason it remains the best.

So...

What if you have tinnitus now?

It is always advisable to check the problems with specialists like Miracle ear.You may be thinking it is too hard to remove or even reduce the noise slightly, but you're wrong. You can have ears that make no noise at all, and learn to enjoy life once more.So call Miracle ears at 877 590 4710/888 853 3674

Sarah Jessica Parker, Angelina Jolie are highest-paid actresses with $30M salaries

Sarah Jessica Parker and Angelina Jolie topped Forbes' list of highest-paid actresses with $30 million in earnings in the past 12 months.

Sarah Jessica Parker and Angelina Jolie topped Forbes' list of highest-paid actresses with $30 million in earnings in the past 12 months.
It pays to be Sarah Jessica Parker or Angelina Jolie.

The two actresses topped Forbes list of the highest-earning Hollywood starlets, each raking in $30 million salaries within 12 months (May 2010 to May 2011).

Jolie made her money thanks to her spy flick, "Salt," which brought in $300 million at the box office, as well as "The Tourist," which initially bombed in the U.S., but went on to earn $280 million with the help of international ticket sales.

Much of Parker's income came from reruns of "Sex and the City," which she also produced, and the franchise's second film, which generated $290 million at the box office.

"People may be surprised to see Sarah Jessica Parker up there but they may not realize that in addition to acting, she earns big from her perfumes and endorsement deals," said Dorothy Pomerantz of Forbes.com.

Right behind Jolie and Parker on the list are Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon, who both earned $28 million last year.

Rounding out the top 10 are: Julia Roberts ($20 million), Kristen Stewart ($20 million), Katherine Heigl ($19 million), Cameron Diaz ($18 million), Sandra Bullock ($15 million) and Meryl Streep ($10 million).
