Cameron Diaz says the institution of marriage is 'dying'

Sexy Cameron Diaz, who has never lacked the company of attractive men, has declared that marriage is a “dying institution.”

“I think we have to make our own rules,” the 38-year old singleton tells Maxim in its June issue. “I don't think we should live our lives in relationships based off old traditions that don't suit our world any longer."

Diaz, who has been linked with Matt Dillon, Justin Timberlake and now Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez, has pretty specific ideas on what makes a relationship work.

“Guys need women who challenge them and don't let them get away with their s**t," says Diaz. "Women, conversely, need to not be crazy bitches who blow up when their guys tell them something that scares them."

The blonde glamazon is currently promoting her new movie “Bad Teacher,” where she plays a sex-crazed, pot smoking middle school teacher.

Diaz is ranked #4 on Maxim's 2011 Hot 100, and to repay the favor, Diaz happily posed for the bawdy men’s mag, laying seductively across a desk in a thigh-high miniskirt and red stilettos in a clutter-filled classroom.

“It’s not every day that one of the world’s biggest movie stars offers to fulfill your schoolboy fantasies,” pants Maxim. “But then Cameron Diaz is not your average movie star… Miss Diaz, we’ve been bad, bad boys!”

As for her romance with A-Rod? Diaz tells Maxim, "It's really awesome."

Just don’t ask her where the ring is.
